CONNOR, Justice. OPINION. These petitions for review raise various issues in a products liability case that has been before this court previously on appeal and on an earlier petition. The original trial in this case resulted in a jury verdict for the plaintiff. The case arose from an accident in which the driver of a Caterpillar-manufactured front-end loader was killed when the loader rolled over an embankment. In Caterpillar Tractor Co. v. Beck, 593 P.2d 871 (Alaska 1979) (hereafter "Beck I "), we reversed on several grounds and remanded for a new trial. At a pretrial conference numerous disputes arose, and it is from the lower courts pretrial order that the parties petition for review. On January 9, 1981, we entered an order reversing in part and affirming in part the pretrial order, with this opinion to follow.
